Thanks for investigation. This is a new fontforge bug it seems...
Please post the result of
FONTFORGE=foo mf2pt1 feta20.mf
and I'll do a bug report on fontforge-devel (or you do it by yourself, if
you prefer). If you have time, please remove all other glyphs from the PFB
so that I provide a small input file.
