I didn't actually check, because it's been there as long as I
remember, but google says:

Sure.  Although I guess that unknown parameters in tags are simply
ignored by any sane browser?  It's mostly unknown tags or non-closed
tags (apart from the silly <p>) that may lead to strange things, in my
experience.
