http://nagoya.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=7932 Unable to Terminate when ZoneAlarm Installed ------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2002-04-21 21:03 ------- Take it easy, budy. The reason I suspect a bug in ZoneAlarm is because we've seen many similar problems in the past with various versions of Apache, and they usually turn out to be caused by the firewall software failing to properly impliment an interface that they replace from the OS. Apache 2.0 uses many different functions that Apache 1.3, so it is not surprising that it tickles different bugs in other software. That is not to say that it is impossible that there is a bug in Apache. But the fact is that ZoneAlarm is a very invasive program that replaces big chunks of the operating system. Apache, on the other hand, just uses the APIs. And since Apache is working fine with the APIs provided by Win32, but not working with the replacements provided by ZoneAlarm, it is likely that ZoneAlarm has mis-implimented something.
