--- Comment #61 from Sudhaker <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> 2008-03-06 12:45:19 PST --- @ Nick & Pluem Thanks for your nice words and helping us understand how things work in apache-developer world. Many kudos for putting your hard work to apache project. @ Emmanuel Elango I agree with your statement. > I dont see why CONNECT should not be supported over an SSL connection. I mean > after all a proxy is a proxy and ssl is ssl. The proxy should do its job and > ssl should do its. @ Others I still don't see any email on mailing list ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) related to this issue. Can someone please take care of this - preferably the patch maker or someone who understands it well? It was nice to see the convincing from "Per Gunnar Hans". At least we have one person who is requesting this patch for genuine reasons. I don’t want to start debate on worth-fullness of our intended proxy-avoidance but simply request committers to accept the patch for the sake of "doing right thing in right way". Writing directly to socket in-place of handler is really not a great idea and should be fixed ASAP.
