I wasn't sure it was iwm, ie. I was only reporting the display after the hang. I have now disabled iwm and bsd.rd boots and the subsequent snapshot upgrade works. I've appended the ramdisk_cd and the generic.mp dmesg extracted from /var/log/messages. I'm upgrading the packages on that nuc at the moment but can troubleshoot later.
