hello,
i recently tried to upgrade one of my i386 boxes from an older 6.8 snap (~end of
October timeframe) to the latest one (Dec 10th). First I used sysupgrade and
when it gets to the part where it would normally print "Install, Upgrade, Shell"
it simply started rolling:

over and over again until the machine was power cycled. Figuring i might have
gotten a bad snap I waited and tried again today, but I had the same experience.
This time after the power cycle I tried manually running bsd.rd and this
worked. I
let it run through, but now after booting I am seeing that behaviour again:

Unfortunately I seem to have forgotten to save the previous bsd so I can't test
booting it, but I did have a bsd.old from back in September and even booting
that exhibits the same behaviour:

this server doesn't do much at the moment so rebuilding it if I must isn't a big
