possible errata:
Ruth, the "Devices (requiring prescription)" shows NCPDP as the recommended 
IG, which is probably incorrect.  Then there are two other "DME" entries 
with no IG checked off.  I believe all three of these items could be rolled 
into a single "DME" entry for which the 837-P would be the correct IG.  I'm 
not sure that the "requiring prescription" attribute would be relevant to 
the choice of IG for a medical equipment or device claim.  I'm also not 
sure how a claim would be processed for a drug or biological that that does 
NOT have an NDC code.  I'm thinking of things like over-the-counter 
plant-based estrogen compounds, some artificial tears (also OTC), etc.  I 
assume that if they did not have an NDC code assigned the 837-p would be 
used... unless a pharmacy was billing??
