I didn't see any response to your question so here are thoughts from my
experiences.
Typically the update transactions are all that are needed on a daily basis.
Then on some scheduled frequency (weekly or perhaps monthly) a full
file replacement is usually performed. That way the daily job cycle can
be tuned to complete timely with the full file replacement to assure
accuracy
can be scheduled to occur when time constraints are somewhat lessened.
So it is not 'only' intended to use full file replacements for auditing
purposes
although that certainly can be a purpose.
