I checked out the link. If we use the catnip oil spray, we will have to put
upwith every cat on the peninsula. I love cats, but only a few at a time.

When i was in the Middle East back in the mid 80s
I had a room with no screen
A store had these mosquito control devices, which plugged into the 220V outlet
and a pellet placed on the hot surface which evaporated over time and it worked!

Mosquitoes are a safety and health issue! with West Nile and all that

See the link and I just picked one too

Hi all,

Yes MSWE is on BOD agenda and Ft Travis works and
in some ways better. To the readers of the reflector drop Cookie an email as he
needs to get a feel for who will show and who will help so can possibly set
space in the cabanas.I know most of us are geared for fast approching GHH
but lets give Cookie some info.

  Cookie,

  I
would move forward with the request to the Galveston County Board for Ft.
Travis. I know the mosquitoes were really bad but I don’t think there is any
other option at this time. I talked with Bill about the MSWE and he has no
problem with it and Ft. Travis. I know it is on the agenda for the BOD
meeting
tomorrow so there should be plenty of comments after tomorrow. Unfortunately,
I will be out of e-mail coverage starting tomorrow around 6pm until the
  14th.

  I
am ready for it and, if possible, will be spending more time at Ft. Travis
  this year.

  Keep
  up the good work.

  Thanks,

  Is this thread
about MSWE or SkyWarn? After recently being denied access to the ship
compound at Seawolfe park, I put a query on the reflector about the interest
of members in Ft. Travis on Bolivar, but I have not received any replies.
Jerry Muller recently withdrew from his co-chairman position for
personal reasons and I am interested in anyone who desires to take over that
role. At present I am wondering if there is sufficient interest in the
event to query the Galveston County Park Board about the availability of Ft.
Travis. Last year was good, but the mosquitos in the early evening were
  fierce.

  After I made my
query, I did not receive any messages on the BVARC reflector until the one
from Mike Hardwick shown below. I would appreciate it if the situation
would be briefly discussed at the coming board meeting and the feeling of the
BOD would be relayed to me.

  We won’t have internet
