Actually, I have a friend stationed there and I asked him to do some research
for me, however the chair persons settled on the fort and I was told not to
continue my search into the base.
My friend is still stationed there, so I can ask again if the committee would
like me to.

Countdown to MSWE 2012   Cookie,   I would move forward with the request to the
GalvestonCounty Board for Ft. Travis . I know themosquitoes were really bad but
I don’t think there is any other option at thistime. I talked with Bill about
the MSWE and he has no problem with it and Ft. Travis .I know it is on the
agenda for the BOD meeting tomorrow so there should beplenty of comments after
tomorrow. Unfortunately, I will be out of e-mailcoverage starting tomorrow
around 6pm until the 14th.    I am ready for it and, if possible, will be
spendingmore time at Ft. Travis this year.    Keep up the good work.    Thanks,

Subject: Re: [BVARC] Countdown toMSWE 2012   Is this thread about MSWE or
SkyWarn?  Afterrecently being denied access to the ship compound at Seawolfe
park, I put aquery on the reflector about the interest of members in Ft. Travis
on Bolivar, but I have not received any replies.  Jerry Muller recentlywithdrew
from his co-chairman position for personal reasons and I am interestedin anyone
who desires to take over that role.  At present I am wonderingif there is
sufficient interest in the event to query the Galveston County ParkBoard about
the availability of Ft. Travis .  Last yearwas good, but the mosquitos in the
early evening were fierce.   After I made my query, I did not receive any
messages onthe BVARC reflector until the one from Mike Hardwick shown below.  I
would appreciate it if the situation would be brieflydiscussed at the coming
board meeting and the feeling of the BOD would berelayed to me.   Willis
