i bought the dstar card for my ic-9100 when i got the radio. it is pretty neat. it is amazing on hf. it sounds like the other guy is on a local repeater. i am not real thrilled with hooking up over the internet to someone running dstar, i can do that with echolink or irlp if i wanted to play that way.

www.Dstarinfo.com is a very valuable resource for new users of D-Star.

One of the best ways to learn the fundamentals of D-Star, is by watching the D-Star training videos at Dayton's Hamvention 2015. There are 3 - one hour video links on the site. The presenter is John Davis WB4QDX -- he is from Atlanta and is very knowledgeable speaker.

This is by far the best way to take a D-Star cram course.
