I just do not want to make it easy. Consider what someone would have to do to run a decent scam. They would have to find a decent database which they can download, and wha la. They are not looking for one-offs, that makes their work more difficult, and unless they are targeting you, they will likely not be interested. Criminals are lazy. On the other hand, people these throw around their traditionally private information these days like it was nothing. I would not throw my hands up quite yet, and say, oh well... Private information for a particular use should still be limited to that use. For most of the organizations I belong to, you have to at least be a member to get my information.
