My goal is to do just that, fix my own stuff.  I have a pretty good rack of 
test equipment and have done several repair projects. The patient does not 
always survive. If the problem turns out to be something other than what I 
thought, now I have a brick. I wish I knew more, but meanwhile I’ll learn on 
what I have to or what is expendable, and leave the rest to an expert to fix. 
No guts no glory, I suppose…
