HI Eddie,

I remember getting my Novice ticket listening to their punched tape code
practice machine at HARC. I joined in 1960! Great club.

Yes Chris,
I remember the HARC clubhouse it was at the end of Lozier St. off OST I cant
remember
when the HARC club dissolved and do not remember any of that history... Might
not be
many folks left that remember those fun days... early 80s?

Problem is real estate prices are so high .... that means rent is high... even
on an old
metal building in an old part of town.. :)

I wish.... Not being in Houston makes it a little hard. But I do have contacts
there. I think it would be great if the club had a permanent clubhouse, if it
has the money to be able to afford it. The old Houston amateur radio club site
was down near the Astrodome and eventually became, shall we say, an area nobody
wanted to visit. I love the bi-monthly auctions they had. Bought a lot of gear
because of them. It's time for Houston to have that again..
I'd be happy to join the committee. I'd have to be making the meetings at night
or on the weekends though. Provided I'm not on the road for work which I've
been doing a lot of. In fact I have today off because I already hit my 40 hours
yesterday
