Howdy!

I am excited that yesterday's email has started up some really great
conversations!

...but nobody is talking about Jim WA5JIM's great idea for a 2-meter "deck
handrail ballister" Yagi antenna. I can't wait to hear how it comes out!

Kori did his usual outstanding job of running the Net today, with a great
topic - "What are your favorite Hame Radio Tools?" Kori got us all
thinking about Anderson Power Pole crimping.

We had a new guy (missed his call) who listed EXTENSIVE experience in
high-dollar VNAs and SAs. I want this guy to teach me all about my new
TinySA! I value your experience, and I am ready to learn.

Maurice W5RGO added to the topic. We have favorite tools. How do we
coordinate experts who are willing to teach - and those with similar
interests? This is a great idea. One that applies to every tool in the
conversation!

Personally, I have years of experience with microprocessors and embedded
microprocessor systems. I like building antennas. I like HTs. I have
reprogrammed my HT, nanoVNA, and TinySA to the latest firmware. Not a big
thing for me.

Can I lead a group that wants to build antennas? Sure.
Can I lead a group that wants to upgrade their nanoVNA's or HT's firmware?
Yep.
Do I have best practices on using HTs in the backyard with external
antennas? I am your guy.

I suggested we make more use of the BVARC Discord server. It's out there
for us to use.

As always, comments and questions are eagerly received.

73, y'all
Dan KJ5IZK
