Thanks Robert. I did a quick search on ubuntu+dsl internet and got this page: https://help.ubuntu.com/7.04/internet/C/connect-to-internet.html#modems I'll follow the instructions based on the kind of modem I get and post them to the wiki. Or rather, if I learn those instructions aren't applicable, I'll post what I find out to the wiki. Plus, I'll post any KDE and Gnome specific stuff since on my desktop I'm running KDE and on my iBook I'm running Gnome.
