IMHO - I agree with Susan. I have a pretty strong technical
background but I can't (don't have time to) keep up with the
proliferation of communication tools that are being implemented.
I get each posting to the staff list as they are generated. I go to
the shop list when I have time and check the message list there.
I have looked at the material on the Wiki, and see where it has a use
as an internal training tool. I also have tried to use Google.Docs as
a collaborative tool for developing the Strategic Plan
(disappointing).
In addition to all this, I maintain several mailing lists on my own
computer for communicating with specific groups within BWorks such as
all Volunteers, Board Members only, BikeWORKS voluinteers only,
ByteWORKS volunteers only and Prospective vounteers, donors, etc.
I woud let the existing set of tools mature a bit and concentrate on
getting people to use them effecdtively (perhaps consolidate their
functionality) before introducing any more.
