The last time I looked into Clonezilla there were two ways to use it: form a LivCD and from a server. I imagine the LiveCD is not that different from our current method: boot from the CD, create an image, and clone it to other drives. The server method is a bit more complex in that it required machines to PXE boot, but then would push the image to the machine. However, this is now over a year ago and it may have changed.
