Uhm, the folder name lets me believe that you are using the binary
distribution, and that you made the change in your project; you should
make the change in the project found in the Xerces source distribution,
then recompile Xerces and use the newly built binaries.

Usually you can remove them by changing the project to generate the
pdb with a specific name, instead of the default vc80.pdb, and
placing it in the same folder where the lib file is located.
