Thanks for the information.

Personally I receive so many emails that my system is as protected as it
could be (I'm receiving hundreds of spams and viruses every day, as most of
us are I guess). So I don't mind letting any kind of attachment go through. 

However, I'm curious: do you know what's the policy on other Apache/Jakarta
projects with regards to attachments? Is there a general consensus? Erik
Abele told me this is something that has to be voted by the project hence my
email.
