Ick. No it's not very readable.
I would much rather see the case checking done internally and not
specified in the manifest. However if that's not possible then doing
what you originally had seems much more readable.
Given that there is only syntactical validation on the AI server, where
the manifests are initially accepted into the system, if we want to
screen out problems up front before they result in install failures on
the AI client, the options are limited to what is possible through RNG.
RNG extension is an option, but AI server design improvements might be
preferable.
