Hi Glenn.
Looks like you already addressed usr/src/Targetdirs, which was my
only "code" question. About the flag day...
You may want to mention specifically what the flag day is for.
There are numbered instructions at the top, but what do they
accomplish, for example?
Yep, that falls under my statement about "fleshing it out" :-)
Maybe it's obvious, but you may want to mention that until
slim_source goes away, the systems building it need to be running
the same build of ON as what they are building (or at least have the
most up-to-date /usr/include/libbe.h and /usr/include/libbe_priv.h
on their build system).
Good point. I'll have to give this some thought. I may elect to
manually manage this and just send out heads-up messages if libbe
diverges from what is in the on-nightly repo I'm going to build for this
flag day. In theory, it shouldn't diverge in the time between my
integration and when WOS build 147 becomes available on ipkg.sfbay/dev
(at which point, people will be told to image-update to that to get back
on the WOS 'train').
Actually, my comment has more to do with the other parts of slim_source
which use the libbe library, such as TD, TI, ICT, etc. Those other
pieces have to utilize the most up to date libbe.h when slim_source is
built. They will be around for at least a while (possibly until slim
source goes away) after you're done lobotomizing beadm from slim_source.
Thanks,
Jack
