Honestly, I don't know - this is just a reference to the existing ICT in
usr/src/lib/libict_pymod/ict.py, which :

         creates /etc/.sysidconfig.apps
         touches /etc/.UNCONFIGURED
         copy .sysIDtool.state to the target

I don't know why this is necessary.


This is done to keep sysidtool from doing anything at first boot. SCI will supercede sysidtool and make this unnecessary.
So then, what I suggested yesterday for the comment is inaccurate. Yesterday's suggestion:

"Adding of entries for sysidtool and sys-unconfig to set up the system."

Perhaps the following is better:

"Prevent sysidtool from doing anything at first boot."
