Sanjay et al,

I have updated the design spec to reflect the comments/changes received (apologies in advance for not using change bars). In summary, the main areas of change are:

5.1 (All - The design has been updated to store zone manifests and profiles within an AI installation service on the AI server)

5.2.3 Transfer IPS Zone

7.1 Default Zone manifest.

Ethan,
Nit: Perhaps a sentence in the section purpose as to why this is desirable (kind of business justification)

On page 5 you refer to sysidcfg. Should that change in light of the new system configuration work to something else ?

That's being removed from the spec.

Issue: What I don't see in this document is anything from server management side. IMO, it would be useful for installadm list to provide some indication that a manifest has zones configuration. Looking ahead it might be useful to be able to have zones manifests, thought I admit I have not thought through all the issues here. I hope I am not opening a pandora's box here.

This is a good point to bring up, and I do agree. The design spec has been updated with a new scheme to store the zone manifests and profiles within an AI installation service.

thanks,

General review appreciated, and if so, please try to get me comments by the end of the week; but I have also pinged individuals to review particular parts of the document.

thanks,
