I think regardless to how many people are using CakePHP right now I will continue to use it because it's a framework which reduces development time and provides many stable features and conventions to follow which in my opinion are awesome.
To use another framework will require me to learn the other framework, I think I'd only be willing to do this commercially if I was sure the other framework didn't require me to reinvent the wheel (i.e. writing my own Auth/ACL system, basically not including many of Cake's default features I use regularly) and can keep development time down in the grand scheme of things (it would need to be continually supported and well documented for me to switch also) OT: Pretty lucky really, I managed to land a job working with CakePHP last November and where I live finding a CakePHP job is like finding a needle in a haystack.
