And besides, *some people* expect CakePHP manual to teach them how to program without even knowing basic PHP concepts. So before even trying to learn CakePHP, make sure you know:
1. OOP theory (and how it is implemented on PHP) 2. PHP programming 3. Web programming theory CakePHP is not here to teach you how to program, it is a rapid development framework for PHP, not a PHP programming manual. I agree that the documentation is not enough, but guess what, it never will be! The code will most certainly move faster than documentation, but that's why The Bakery exists. Anyone can post an article, and also anyone can join in and give a hand to John. And when you think you are a newbie and you can't really help document, always know that there's someone out there who's even more newbie than you, so he/she may be needing your help.
