Peel and core the apples (if red

your sauce, leave the skins on. You can 
always remove them later) cut into 4 
and put in pan on stove with just a small 
bit of water and a lid on the pot. 
Set the heat to lowest and cook until 
tender. 

Check from time to time to 
make sure that the water has not boiled 
off and that nothing is burning and 
when done, mash or press through a sieve. 

If you like some chunks, you can 
just mash to your desired consistency 
with a potato masher. If you like a 
cinnamon flavor, add a dash of that too. 

Very easy and fun to do with kids.
