hi
There have been talk on IRC of adding yet more stuff to 1.2. Should
this be done, or should we freeze the code after stdarg? My opinion
is to freeze
I agree that if we want a real release, we need to freeze at some point
and work on QA for a bit....
I will open a ticket about that but want to say that are some very minor
bugs may be in code.
Case in point.
I personally think that the people on the roles list at
http://callweaver.org/roles as quality testers should be doing a large
part of this. I've seen several (and participated in one or two) bug
reports of people saying that something doesn't work for them on one
distro. The response is all too often "well, it works for me on debian
(or gentoo or fedora or whatever)". Problems reported should be taken
seriously and looked into. CtRiX is usually pretty good about trying to
help (provided he has proper debugging info) no matter what distro it is.
If the people that can help don't start helping, we're going to have a
project that compiles on most systems and runs on some, but only runs
well on a few.
