This is a PTP, not PMP? So same HW as the 900 MHz SM? I don't think that
will run on 48V, I think the max is 30. Although I have not used the PTP
version and could be mistaken.

Subject: [Cambium-users] SyncInjector with PTP450i

Greetings,

I opened a ticket with PacketFlux but haven't received a response yet.
We had to leave the site in failure, unfortunately.

At a customer location (contracting work for them, not my network) we were
installing a 2nd PTP450i 900Mhz unit for the clients' building to building
connections, and eventually there will be a third unit.

To sync the network, we purchased a PacketFlux SyncInjector 10/100 (without
sync pipe), using a 48v power supply purchased from PacketFlux.

The PTP450i units use 802.3at power, but do also work on Cambium POE (+30v
7/8, -4/5).

When connecting the PTP450i to the SyncInjector, the SyncInjector flashes
light codes that indicate "short or overload".

I attempted to adjust the 4/5,7/8 to +/-,+/- matching the '450
documentation, but the same short/overload error was reported.

Basically, every configuration results in "short or overload" error
reported.

Thoughts on this?
