Soriya, You are wrong,Thai languge is derived from Khmers almost 90%. I do noy know about Vietnamese language, but I do know the history of writing changed of Vietnamese alphabetic from Coq Ngeu to Latin, a marvelous work of Father Alexander Rhode during 1700's. Vietnamese must thank him and commemorate his main d'euvre. My recommendation please do not promote hatre and divisiveness between Khmers and Vietnameses, there are good and bad Vietnames and Khmers too.Respecting each other is the best policy to live together whatever happen in Cambodia, not the Vietnamese is to be blamed, khmer themself must take the blame and shame . Personally I admire the leadership of Vietnamese they are so good to aggrandize their country into a mighty state of South East Asia, their sacrifice their hard work and perseverance are paid off.
