Mr deur, You are not the one who feels respect and admiration for yuons (leaders) who led genocidal and expansionist policy against other people to free land and national resource for its race or people but your heroes like sihanouk, pol pot, ieng sary, keu samphan, les thouns, and the rest of Khmer rouge and those who conditioned by yuon ideology and propagandas have the same feeling as you. It is not rare among today Cambodians though.
It is comprehensible for the yuons to have this kind of feeling for its leaders because the yuons are the first beneficiaries of the crimes committed by its leaders with consents but it is a bit difficult to understand for the so-called Cambodians or Khmers (Khmer rouge) to be in link with this yuon feeling. The crimes that the yuons leaders led against Khmer people and other people in the region is a CRIME against humanity that condemned by people who defend universal valor as human rights, justice and freedom and they try to fight against this world of animosity and cruelty except for those who at the same link as these criminals. I agree that Khmer people should not blame anyone who has nothing to do with the crimes which they are being victims but those who led genocide against them they are yuons viectong, chin, sihanouk or polpot. These criminals must hold to face their crimes committed against millions innocent in Cambodia and should not be released or clean up for any reason. It is also a message for the yuons and its filiations that; it is not to blame game to hold the real criminals face to their crimes but it is important to restore the real history of this genocide for the sake of justice, of victims and their memory. As I said, it is important to give real statute for each, victims theirs and the criminals its. It is an important passage for the victims to conciliate with their past tragedy and pass over this tragedy for something else. Possible not to stay eternal victims of these criminals but fight to reverse the reign of these criminals for the sake of humanity. It is also to mention that, the yuons, in general, love to preach or show up as peace or brotherhood kisser at day in front of other as an instinct searching to lighten or cover its crimes or those of its but at time the same yuons killed, ecstasy its animosities, the cruelty of its culture and nature in all form against other people at night. It is what people can see along yuon history if they search to understand. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Chetrasena" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "Cambodia Discussion (CAMDISC) - www.cambodia.org" <[email protected]> Sent: Sunday, October 26, 2008 2:59 PM Subject: Re: Cambodia Thailand & Vietnam Soriya, You are wrong,Thai languge is derived from Khmers almost 90%. I do noy know about Vietnamese language, but I do know the history of writing changed of Vietnamese alphabetic from Coq Ngeu to Latin, a marvelous work of Father Alexander Rhode during 1700's. Vietnamese must thank him and commemorate his main d'euvre. My recommendation please do not promote hatre and divisiveness between Khmers and Vietnameses, there are good and bad Vietnames and Khmers too.Respecting each other is the best policy to live together whatever happen in Cambodia, not the Vietnamese is to be blamed, khmer themself must take the blame and shame . Personally I admire the leadership of Vietnamese they are so good to aggrandize their country into a mighty state of South East Asia, their sacrifice their hard work and perseverance are paid off.
