OK, Kangaroo, I didn't read the law and I just found out that only when a police stop you that they can ask you to show your immigration paper. So, how effective is this law? It is even less effective than random drug testing. This law was initiated by a single crime and they didn't even catch the criminal and only his foot prints were shown heading toward the border. There were crimes committed by illegal immigration int past, especially during the Bush admin and the criminal got caught. Why now and only when the Democrat is at White House?
It also has some side effect to it. Some legal paper such as green card is hard to be replaced and some legal alien immigrant leave it at home or in the bank. What will the police do if that person has a small traffic violation? Will the police take driver license or SS card to determine immigration status? Worse than that and under the same circumstance that you forget to bring along your wallet, will the police throw you into the jail? Kanagroo wrote : I know that someone here have relatives who are cops today. I know. Ask them what they think about this above paragraph. Do you think that the police has the power to stop you whenever they want to stop you? Do you think that the police would be stupid to stop you because you look like a certain group? Paleeez give me a break. Read the constitution. Read the laws. Do you know why the police gives you MIRANDA rights lecture? That is an example that they have to follow. Do you know how many more of those kinds that the police have to follow? Read the laws of arrest. Read the constitution. Then come back and explain to us why you think that Arizona police has the power to stop due to your look. --- On Wed, 5/26/10, Hong Chi Kong <[email protected]> wrote: From: Hong Chi Kong <[email protected]> Subject: Re: Arizona’s Immigrations laws and the future of Cambodia. To: [email protected] Date: Wednesday, May 26, 2010, 6:17 PM I don't think you can answer my questions. But, I want to paint a gruesome picture for you. You decide to move to live in Phoenix, Arizona. You just want to go to a grocery store. After driving off your driveway and at a few stop lights, a police patrol see you and you look like the illegal immigrant and the police stop you and ask for your identification, You didn't violate any law, but you got stop anyway because of your look. After seeing your ID, the police let you go. A few more stop lights, you get stop again by another police. Tomorrow, the same thing happen while you go to work, So, everyday, you get to show your ID a few or several times. Do you think you will able to tolerate that? Had you learn anything when you were living under the KR? --- On Wed, 5/26/10, In Camdisc <[email protected]> wrote: From: In Camdisc <[email protected]> Subject: Arizona’s Immigrations laws and the future of Cambodia. To: "CAMDISC" <[email protected]> Date: Wednesday, May 26, 2010, 1:37 PM I am writing a short statement of concerns of the future for the safety and security of Cambodia . As everyone, who’s living inside the United State of America and closely follow the immigration reforms, and very touchy issues; both national and states level. Recently, Arizona laws makers passed the immigration laws to tackle illegal immigrants with over 70 percent of Arizonian’s resident supports. But, the Democrats and the Socialist are challenging the new laws, and called the new laws racist, violated human rights, etc. When I am looking at Arizona ’s new immigration laws by comparing this law to Cambodia , and where Cambodia and her people are going to face in the near future. Cambodia will face the same challenges from the left wingers, the Communist, the Socialist and the Democrats; when Cambodia elected an independent prime minister and leaders who want to enforce the immigration laws for Cambodia .
