Now, I like to point out one aspect. The Khmer Rouge didn't kill just the capitalists, the members of the old regime, and those who opposed them (no one dared to oppose them openly during their regime). They killed indiscriminately. They planned to massacre all the Cambodian people who didn't live under their control during the civil war, whether you were a cabinet minister or a sikhlo driver in the previous regime.
