How one could say it was the right thing to do when the majority of people
still loved the King? How would you imagine to rule the country? If the coup
was the right thing, those who did it did it in the wrong way, so that's why
they did not succeed. I am young but I wanted to hear the failures of the
Lon Nol regime. Why they let the Khmer Rouge take power? Was it because of
the Lon Nol regime's weakness or what? Why didn't we all as Khmer negotiate
rather than getting rid of one leader? People had too much trust on the US
and it had been proven a mistake.
