They were too superstitious with confusion Buddhism, 90% of them are afraid of ghost, big trees, mountains, forests, night time atroids falling. They did not know maleria, they believes the making of Neak-Tah. When French rubber platations published for work force applications, there have been zero appllicant because they were afraid of Neak-Tah making. French had turned to Tonkin, Hanoi. There had been thousand more than they were needed.
