exactly - aluminum, perhaps some brass. My only metal working tools are
files (a lot of them), a saw, and a drill (-stand). The metal ones are
easier (always in my view) because they allow you to build a camera which is
more stable mechanically, one of the main requirements in camera building.
That's why monorails came to being... The same stability in wood is hard to
get for obvious material reasons. George
