Ron,
A cabinetmaker made my last view camera case--it is basically a box of
Baltic fir plywood, clad with sheets of textured aluminum, the edges covered
with aluminum angle, the corners with "Campaign chest" type corners and the
hardware is all hardware store items. I've seen most of this stuff at
Menard's (Local building supply chain).
His wife is an upholsterer and did the interior in blue plush cloth with a
Tiajuana "tuck and roll" design. I swapped him for the case--could never
afford such on my own but if interested I'll shoot some pix and send them to
you.
I've lost track of the guy but a friend of mine could probably come up with
an address for him.
