If you can locate an adequate piece of Aluminum its not hard to drill a
hole and then thread it.  Check the phone book for metal suppliers, or call
machine shops to see if they have scraps for sale.  Sometimes a visit to
the junk yard will yield valuable pieces that cameramakers can find useful.
