Gene,
I measured the width of a septum from one 4X5 bag mag I had handy and it
is 100mm or slighly more (maybe 100.5 mm). That is a rough measurement with
a metric tape measure. Tomorrow I will dig out more bag mags and Starrett
calipers, and try to see if there is any variation in the mags I have.
In 5X7 bag mags, I keep running across a version at camera swaps that I
believe was made for aerial cameras (as I recall, some are marked
"Fairchild"). They are very, very heavy compared to the one "civilian" mag
I have. I have no idea if an aerial 4X5 bag mag was made. If so, it may
have used a different width septum.
