You may also want to try Dave Soemarko's LC-1 and LC-1B low contrast 
developer, which was formulated for specifically for lith film. This 
developer was discussed in a past issue of Post Factory Photography 
and also on pp. 45-47 of Christopher James' The Book of Alternative 
Photographic Processes. If interested the formula for LC-1B is as 
follows:

                750ml Distilled Water
                4 g     Metol
                80 g    Sodium Sulfite
                4 g     Hydroquinone
                20 g    Sodium bisulfite
        Distilled water to make 1000 ml

To use, dilute between 1:5 and 1:10, and develop films between 5 and 
10 minutes.
