Michael,
The process camera is probably the way to go for you, if you can find
one. Maybe you will get lucky and find one that includes a Red Dot Artar or
two. You might give us your location. Some list member may know of something
for sale in your area. The 4X5 or 5X7 enlarger conversion is something to
consider if you just can't find a process camera. It may be worth searching
eBay for 5X7 or 8X10 enlargers just in case one shows up within driving
distance of your location and nobody bids on it. I got the remains of an
8X10 Saltzman last year this way (no lens or light source; missing the
original column, but with a homemade aluminum I-beam column). It is in so-so
shape, but cost me less than $90 in trading material, and can make a usable
enlarger from it (although it is a little large for my darkroom - I may be
cutting a hole in the ceiling and/or wall). Here is a 4X5 to 8X10 conversion
link: http://www.evolvingbeauty.com/general/tech/enlargers.htm Remember
you can always remove the baseboard from any enlarger and make a wall mount
bracket from heavy angle iron. Then you can drop your enlarger table or even
print on the floor.
Here is a page from Aristo that lists the larger sizes:

I think there have been a few posts on this list on home brewed light
sources. If you haven't already, it is worth looking through the archives:
