I'm currently running the 1227 NB, and it has (as previous builds have had for a long time) the option (under View:Customize Toolbar) to select smaller icons and fonts, which make this look pretty good to me -- has something changed since 1227, or do I not understand the problem?
This is for the toolbar icon text size (Back, Forward, Home, etc.) - the text that Michael was talking about is for the menu that appears when you click on a bookmark bar folder.
