The build id is still available from the about panel, which you may also noticed has been redesigned. I'm working on getting people's names moved into the mozilla credits, or maybe a hidden credits file.
I must admit, it was rather cool seeing my name in the About box. :) Forgive me my vanity.
Any chance that will return?
