Camino has so few preferences i assumed for some time that as more functionality appeared, so would more prefs. Hasn't happened and i'm just wondering why the users aren't given more choices. Aren't many more things available in the user.js file than appear in the prefs UI?
Yes, think of user.js as a second-tier prefs system. Advanced users can tinker all they want.
I can't imagine some added preferences adding much to bloat/boot-times.
Well, no, they wouldn't make boot time any longer. It's more the KISS principle. If we can come up with a single solution that satisfies people, that's the best I think.
Compare Camino to Apple's apps... I think our preferences complexity compares pretty favorably with their apps.
