Bill: I just tried to send an HTML email to this list which contained a number of IDNs. Apparently the list server does not like "non-ASCII" characters in HTML and I received notification that it is being "reviewed".
Here are the Punycode addresses for you to try (hoping this will do through). What is important to note is on the decode does the implementation render the appropriate fonts/characters in the address bar rather then the ASCII encoded form. xn--mck3a.jp xn--0vq553c.jp xn--rssy03ha.cn xn--fiqa61au8b7zsevnm8ak20mc4a87e.cn xn--bj0bj06e.kr xn--kda4b0koi.pl xn--fiq43lrrlz83a.tw xn--e1ajeds9e.ru xn--s-0faa.fi Gary. PS. If you have another address which you use I can send you a list of sample IDNs which resolve to sites delegated by a number of ccTLDs for your review. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of Bill Fenner Sent: Monday, February 23, 2004 5:26 PM To: Camino List Subject: Re: Re: [Camino] IDN Support in Camino Well, at least the DNS part works in the 2004021608 nightly. I tried http://www.f=E4lstr=F6m.se/, which is the only idn that I know of, and the DNS lookup seemed correct: me -> DNS server A? www.xn--fltstrm-5wa1o.se. (42) DNS server -> me A? www.xn--fltstrm-5wa1o.se. 1/2/0 www.xn--fltstrm-5wa1o= .se. A 193-109-175-117.teleservice.net ns: xn--fltstrm-5wa1o.se. NS ns.ca= fax.see., xn--fltstrm-5wa1o.se. NS sjc.paf.se. (103) However, I got a 403 Forbidden from the actual server; I can't tell if that's a server misconfiguration or because Camino doesn't send the right Host: header. (I get the same result with Mozilla 1.5 on FreeBSD, including the 403 error).
