the number of hosts in there, however, *does* matter. The more you have
in there the slower your system becomes on dns lookups, as there is no
index for this file, and a sequential scan is being performed on it
every time you do a dns lookup.

Brilliant thank you!. If I want to add a host, can I add something like
127.0.0.1 deepdiscountdvd.com/images/banners/
to the hosts file to block just the folder of images? Do these have
to be in alphabetical order?
