Talking about checksums for downloads: It would be nice to have a context menu item for the downloaded files to calculate and display the checksum - this would ease the process of using them. I wonder if this is out of the focus of the KISS concept of Camino. Are there any other browsers out there which do that? If not it might be an "industry first" ;-).
Bug 101743 requests this as part of the main download window for the core products. I can't see it in that bug, but I know in another bug it was suggested this be made a plugin for Firefox to avoid cluttering the UI. Personally I think its a good idea; I'm far to lazy to check checksums if it means opening terminal etc. However I'd probably check a tooltip or something else in Camino's download manager if it was there.
I'm not really clear where we could put it though that would meet the twin aims of (a) avoiding confusing or scaring the majority of users who aren't interested in it, and (b) being easy enough to access to overcome laziness in the rest of us.
