Cannot confirm. I never quit Camino, and let my computer sleep every night. My sound is never muted. What sites do you leave open? Maybe some with some elements that produce sound? Never resulted in any problem on both my PPC G5/10.4 and PPC/G3/10.3. Maybe it is a combination of applications.
