The link worked for me.  Thanks for the sending out the link.  

I am planning on taking on the job between now and when spring hits.  At the
same time, I plan on making other hull repairs such as a possible bottom
job, installing clear screwable inspection ports, and fixing the hulls below
the drain holes where a previous owner apparently dragged the boat on or off
the trailer and scraped off about an inch of fiberglass at a 45 degree
angle.  I also want to inspect my hulls at several places I noticed there is
some white silicone minor repair work.  I'll keep you informed of my
progress.

For those who have pre 1989 H18's and are concerned about hull 
failures similar to the one John Surprenant (and others apparently) 
experienced, here are a few links from the Hobiecat.com users forum 
in regards to the subject as well as a fix (although not easy) that 
Hobiecat recommends.
