Glad you asked. Lincoln cents are the fourth coin in the small cent series as issued by the U.S. Mint. They are small, round and usually brown and some of them are worth 1-cent, some a bit more. Hiroshige was a Japanese artist is discussed in some detail at http://www.hiroshige.com/. The man, the artist, lived before the U.S. Civil War (or, if you prefer, the War of Northern Aggression), and some say had substantial influence on the Lincoln Cent. Other say bahloney! I posed the question to Art Balfor as he lives in Tokyo, and I had purchased a set of Tokaido Way, a famous series of Japanese Woodblock Prints (I had the prints). Replacing them today would be rather expensive, or in the parlance of the chat group many many Lincoln Cents.
